With the head of Next warning that the cost of fashion clothing will  probably rise by 10% next autumn it is worth thinking about the way you are going to look good in the coming year. Due to the decline in the price of sterling it will mean the price of bringing fashion clothing into the country a lot higher in the coming year as a lot of new fashion wear is priced in dollars and is brought in from Asia.

Sourcing for clothing has gone out to countries like China, Bangladesh and Vietnam due to their low labour prices but this seems to have had a harsh impact for many large labels as with the dropping price of sterling, the exchange rate of sterling with dollars has dropped by 15%. Lots of retailers will have problems passing on higher prices as shoppers are hopefully going to be a lot more careful with their cash and may choose to save instead of spend unless perks are their to buy fashion items.

Some enterprising organisations have started running fashion show fundraising events where you can purchase original branded fashion wear with up to 50% off the recommended retail price. They are sold as slightly imperfect even though most are not seconds but over-runs or end of lines. These Fundraising events allow individuals benefit a good cause of their choice or raise funds for there Dorset school or village hall, and buy a choice of branded clothing at knocked down rates.

I feel it will do people good to discover different ways of getting their hands on fashion clothing. So perhaps if you have a corporate fundraising event or village hall fundraising event you could get in a fashion show fundraiser, make shopping an enjoyable event and save yourself some money at the same time.
